Privacy policy
What data we collect, why, and the rights you have.
This policy explains how Junior Enterprise EHL handles personal data when you visit this website, contact us or work with us. We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible
Junior Enterprise EHL (JEHL), Route de Berne 301, 1000 Lausanne, Switzerland.
For any question about your data, write to juniorenterprise@ehl.ch.
2. What data we collect
When you contact us: your first and last name, email address, company (optional), your message and your consent. We receive the same kind of data when you write to us by email.
When you work with us: the contact details of the people we work with in your organisation, and the information you share with us for the mandate.
When you visit the website: technical data such as your IP address, browser and device, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. Wix records this data to run the website and gives us visit statistics. See also "Cookies and statistics" below.
3. Why we use it
to answer your request and follow up on it;
to prepare, carry out and invoice our mandates;
to run the website, keep it secure and understand how it is used;
to meet our legal obligations, for example in accounting.
We do not sell your data.
Under the GDPR, we rely on the performance of a contract or steps before a contract, our legitimate interest in answering requests and running a secure website, your consent (for example for analytics cookies) and our legal obligations.
4. Who receives your data
JEHL members who need it for your request or your mandate, such as the board and the consultant team on your project;
Wix.com Ltd., which hosts the website and stores the messages sent through the form for us;
Google, if you accept analytics cookies (see below);
other IT providers we use for email and file storage, only as far as needed;
authorities, when the law requires it.
5. Data abroad
Wix processes data in Israel, the European Union and the United States. Google may process data in the United States and other countries. Switzerland and the EU recognise that Israel offers an adequate level of data protection. For the United States, Wix and Google are certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and they also use standard contractual clauses.
6. Cookies and statistics
The website uses two kinds of cookies:
Essential cookies set by Wix. The website needs them to work and to stay secure, so they are always on.
Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC. They tell us how many people visit the website and which pages they read. They are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.
You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings button on the website, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some parts of the website may then not work.
7. Social media
Our website links to our pages on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. No data is sent to these platforms until you click a link. On their websites, their own privacy policies apply.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Messages that do not lead to a mandate are deleted when they are no longer needed. Contracts and accounting records are kept as long as the law requires, generally ten years.
9. Security
Only the members who need your data can access it, and our accounts are protected by passwords. No transmission over the internet is fully secure, so please do not send us sensitive data through the form.
10. Your rights
You can ask us at any time:
to see the data we hold about you;
to correct it;
to delete it, or to stop using it;
to receive it in a common electronic format;
to withdraw your consent, for the future.
Write to juniorenterprise@ehl.ch. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer within 30 days, free of charge in most cases.
If you think we have not handled your data correctly, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch. If you live in the EU, you can also contact the data protection authority of your country.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when our activities or the law change. The version published on this page applies.
